The Houston Rockets have played better since coach Stephen Silas showcased his anger following a lackluster performance on Feb. 6. Unfortunately, the Rockets losing streak reached six following a 123-104 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers Monday night.

The Rockets were competitive against the 76ers until the third quarter. Philadelphia opened the quarter on a 14-4 run. And by the end of the period, the Rockets trailed 90-78.

Houston trailed 55-48 at halftime inside Wells Fargo Center.

Jalen Green led the Rockets in scoring with 29 points (6-20 FG, 15-17 FT). K.J. Martin added 15 points and seven rebounds. He scored 10 during the first quarter, where Houston trailed 32-29 entering the second period.

Jabari Smith Jr. recorded his ninth career double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds in the loss.

James Harden had his best performance since leaving the Rockets in January 2021. He finished with 28 points on 9-of-8 shooting, 4-of-9 from behind the arc and 10 assists in the win. He scored 14 points during the 76ers' third-quarter explosion.

Joel Embiid finished with 23 points six rebounds and four assists.

Terrible 3-point shooting:

The Rockets had a terrible night shooting from behind the arc. They missed 18 out of 24 attempts.

Houston's first 3-point field goal came with 3 minutes and 43 seconds left in the third quarter when Green connected on a contested 3-point basket. He accounted for two of the Rockets' six-made triples.

Rockets' season series comes to an end vs. the 76ers:

With the loss, the Rockets closed their two-game regular-season series against the 76ers. Due to an overtime victory on Dec. 5, the Rockets and 76ers split their season series 1-1.

Up Next:

The Rockets have one game left before the All-Star break in Utah. They will continue their five-game road trip Wednesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder inside Paycom Center. Tip-off is slated for 7 P.M. CT.
