Jakob Poeltl Among Spurs Ex Players to Sign Early Free Agent Contracts

The San Antonio Spurs saw a handful of their former players make moves at the start of free agency on Friday, and the Phoenix Suns were heavily a part of it.

The start of NBA free agency barely got underway Friday, and a slew of former San Antonio Spurs had already agreed to deals with their current team or a new one.

Here are the former Spurs that have agreed to deals at the beginning of free agency:

C Jakob Poeltl - agreed to a four-year, $80 million deal to stay with the Toronto Raptors (per Woj)

PF Trey Lyles - agreed to a two-year, $16 million deal to stay with the Sacramento Kings (multiple reports)

PF Chimezie Metu - agreed to a one-year deal with the Phoenix Suns (per Woj)

PF Drew Eubanks - agreed to a two-year deal with the Suns (per Woj)

Former Spurs big man Jock Landale had his qualifying offer pulled by Phoenix, meaning he will enter unrestricted free agency.

The Spurs also saw some action with a few of their current players, and the Suns were once again involved in the conversation. San Antonio forward Keita Bates-Diop is a Sun after agreeing to a two-year, $5 million deal with Phoenix, per Woj.

However, the Spurs made sure not to lose Tre Jones to free agency, as they signed him to a two-year, $20 million deal, per Woj.
