Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon is scheduled to have a hearing regarding his possible one-year suspension in late July, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

It was reported earlier this offseason that Gordon had committed another violation of the league's substance abuse policy, and would not be available to the team in 2014. However, Gordon is looking to have the punishment lessened, and the players' union is in negotiations with the NFL about a reduced punishment for the All-Pro receiver.

Gordon sat out the first two games of the 2013 season after reportedly testing positive for marijuana, but went on to lead the team in receiving yards, yards from scrimmage, and touchdowns in his second season in the league.
