Bills starting cornerback Leodis McKelvin is ready to practice, the team announced via their website Saturday.

The news comes less than a week after the 28-year-old, who has spent his entire career with Buffalo, was placed on the Active/PUP because of offseason hip surgery. According to the Bills, he's expected to participate with his teammates on Sunday night in Rochester, although General Manager Doug Whaley said his workload will be limited, according to the team's website.

“We just want to make sure we ease him in and don’t give him too strenuous a workout right off the bat."

The news also comes on the same day the team placed DT Marcell Dareus on the non-football injury list for reasons unknown. Over the weekend, it was also reported that Bon Jovi is now part of a Toronto-based ownership group looking to purchase the Bills.
