Lions place Golden Tate, Ziggy Ansah, TJ Jones on PUP list

The Detroit Lions have placed defensive end Ziggy Ansah and wide receivers TJ Jones and Golden Tate on the physically unable to perform list. All three players have shoulder injuries and neither participated in the team’s minicamp last month.

The Detroit Lions have placed defensive end Ziggy Ansah and wide receivers TJ Jones and Golden Tate on the physically unable to perform list, according to Lions.com’s Tim Twentyman.

All three players have shoulder injuries and neither participated in the team’s minicamp last month. Any player on the PUP list is eligible to come off the list at any time.

Ansah, who led the team in sacks last season, was injured in December and had surgery in February. 

Tate came to Detroit from the Seattle Seahawks after signing a five-year, $31 million contract. He is nursing a shoulder injury suffered in the spring. 

Jones, a rookie from Notre Dame, underwent arthroscopic surgery in June after being hurt in his team's Pinstripe Bowl victory over Rutgers.
