Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis is confident the team will have consecutive winning seasons for the first time in franchise history.

Joe Person of The Charlotte Observer relayed comments from Davis on Twitter

Thomas Davis on chance of consec. winning seasons for 1st time in Panthers history: "It's going to be great when we do it, note I said when."

The Panthers won 12 games -- a total they matched in 1996 and 2008 -- and finished in first place in the NFC South last season before falling to the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round of the playoffs.

Davis recorded 85 tackles and four sacks in 16 games.
