New Orleans Saints owner Tom Benson was released from a West Virginia hospital and has returned to New Orleans, the team announced Tuesday.

The 87-year-old was taken to the hospital earlier Tuesday to receive oxygen.

From the New Orleans Times-Picayune:

Saints spokesman Greg Bensel said Benson was "doing great" and had already gone to his office on Wednesday, but he would not attend the Saints' preseason opener at St. Louis on Friday and would likely remain in New Orleans until the Saints return from West Virginia on Aug. 14.

Benson was additionally treated a week ago for dehydration after attending camp. He was released after receiving fluids. He was hospitalized in May after losing his balance and falling off the podium at a New Orleans Super Bowl bid presentation.

Benson also owns the New Orleans Pelicans.
