Report: Bengals receiver Marvin Jones breaks foot, is out 'a few weeks'

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Marvin Jones broke his foot in practice Saturday and will be out "a few weeks" according to a report from Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. Hobson also reported that Jones underwent surgery to put a pin in his foot.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Marvin Jones broke his foot in practice Saturday and will be out "a few weeks" according to a report from Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. Hobson also reported that Jones underwent surgery to put a pin in his foot. 

The 24-year-old Jones had a breakout season last year, catching 51 passes for 712 yards and 10 TDs. In Week 8 against the Jets, Jones caught eight passes for 122 yards and four touchdowns.

On the Bengals' depth chart, Jones had been listed as a starter at receiver across from All-Pro A.J. Green. Third-year pro Mohamed Sanu is Cincinnati's third receiver. Hobson noted that the same injury cost Sanu a month of the 2012 season.
