Minnesota Vikings quarterback Matt Cassel will start the team’s second preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday, reports the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Cassel played the first series in the preseason opener against the Oakland Raiders before giving way to rookie Teddy Bridgewater who got about two quarters of action.

Cassel went 5-6 for 62 yards and Bridgewater completed 6 of his 13 attempts for 49 yards against Oakland.

Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said he would decide later if Bridgewater gets a start in either one of the team’s final two preseason contests. The third preseason game is generally one where the first-team starters play the majority of the game.

“We’ll see after this week,” Zimmer said. “I don’t know.”
