Dolphins officially sign veteran quarterback Brady Quinn

The Miami Dolphins signed veteran quarterback Brady Quinn on Tuesday, the team announced

The Dolphins also announced they released quarterback Pat Devlin.

Last month, Quinn signed a deal to be an college and pro football analyst with FOX Sports. This will be Quinn’s sixth team as he approaches his seventh NFL season.

He last appeared in an NFL game with the Kansas City Chiefs in December 2012. He has spent time with the Denver Broncos, New York Jets, St. Louis Rams and Cleveland Browns, who drafted Quinn with the No. 22 pick in the 2007 draft.

He has a 4-16 record as a starting quarterback and has thrown for 3,043 yards with 12 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in his career. Quinn, 29, is expected to compete with Matt Moore for the backup job behind Ryan Tannehill.
