Giants first-round pick Odell Beckham Jr. will not play Saturday

New York Giants rookie wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will not play in the team's next preseason game at the Indianapolis Colts Saturday, coach Tom Coughlin told reporters, according to Paul Schwartz of the New York Post.

New York Giants rookie wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will not play in the team's next preseason game, coach Tom Coughlin told reporters, according to Paul Schwartz of the New York Post. 

The Giants play at the Indianapolis Colts Saturday. 

Beckham, the No. 12 pick in this year's draft, missed the first three weeks of training camp with a hamstring injury. He returned to practice this week and joined live, 11-on-11 drills Wednesday.

Last year, in his junior season at LSU, Beckham caught 57 passes for 1117 yards and eight touchdowns. 

The Giants open the regular season on Sept. 8 at the Detroit Lions.
