Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy did not practice on Sunday and the team did not explain his absence, the Philadelphia Inquirer's Zach Berman reports.

McCoy played in Philadelphia's preseason game against the New England Patriots last Friday. Berman reports McCoy, who was in uniform during Sunday's practice, was not walking with a limp.

Eagles coach Chip Kelly did not give a reason for McCoy's absence when he spoke to reporters. McCoy did not respond to questions about his status.

McCoy's 1,607 rushing yards led the NFL last season. He had 19 rushing yards on six carries against the Patriots.
