Buccaneers trade Kelcie McCray to Chiefs for Rishaw Johnson

The Kansas City Chiefs traded guard Rishaw Johnson to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for safety Kelcie McCray, the teams announced Thursday.

Johnson, 25, played in three games last season for the Chiefs, including one start. He is entering his third season in the NFL after going undrafted out California University of Pennsylvania of  in 2012. He spent 2012 on the Seattle Seahawks' practice team.

The Chiefs play their third preseason game on Saturday against the Minnesota Vikings. Kansas City opens the regular season Sept. 7 against the Tennessee Titans.

McCray, 25, played in 15 games last season during stints with the Miami Dolphins and Bucs. He went undrafted out of Arkansas State in 2012.

Tampa Bay returns to the field on Saturday against the Buffalo Billsfor their third preseason game. The Buccaneers open their 2014 season against the Carolina Panthers on Sept. 7.
