ESPN asked over 100 players "The only way I'd play for [team name] is if they doubled my salary." Oakland was the top response, with 23 percent of the 82 players who responded choosing the Raiders. The Bills, Browns, Jaguars and Packers rounded out the top five.

"I've never heard anybody that said they didn't want to play for the Raiders, so that's pretty shocking," current Raider Charles Woodsontold ESPN.com. "I think you've got to take the attitude that if you didn't want to come here, it doesn't matter anyway. Over the years, I've known and talked to countless players that said, 'Man, I would love to come play in the silver and black.' So I think that poll might be kind of skewed."

The Raiders have not finished with a record better than 8-8 since 2002. They were 4-12 in each of the past two seasons. Mark Davis, the franchise's owner, has made it clear he is displeased with the team's stadium situation, and met with officials in San Antonio, Texas, to discuss the possibility of relocating there.
