Detroit Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley is back in the starting lineup after getting his weight down to 305 pounds.

Fairley said he has a personal chef that makes five days worth of meals for him, and his weight can fluctuate depending on what he eats.

“If I go to fast food, I’m going to be 315. I go eat cafeteria, salad, salmon, baked chicken, I’ll be 305,” Fairley said to the Detroit Free Press.

Fairley, who had 35 tackles and six sacks last season, did not practice well at the beginning of training camp and was benched, but his performance improved as the preseason wore on. He made two tackles and recorded a 1/2 sack in the team’s preseason finale against the Buffalo Bills.
