Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles ruled out vs. Broncos with left ankle injury

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles left the game against the Denver Broncos in the first quarter with an ankle injury. He has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles left the game against the Denver Broncos in the first quarter with an ankle injury. He has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Before his injury, Charles had run for four yards on two carries.

Charles was taken to the locker room for evaluation. Running back Knile Davis replaced Charles for the Chiefs offense.

Last week, Charles had just seven carries against Tennessee. Last season, Charles ran for 1,287 yards.

At the time Charles left, the Broncos were up 7-0 on the Chiefs.
