New York Giants linebacker Jon Beason will not play against the Houston Texans on Sunday, the team announced Friday

After playing in New York's opener, Beason left last Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals in the second half after re-aggravating a previous foot injury. The three-time Pro Bowler missed all of training camp after he tore a ligament and fractured the sesamoid bone in his foot in a June OTA.

On Wednesday, the Giants said Beason may see specialist Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte.

The 29-year-old has eight tackles on the season.

Giants rookie wide receiver Odell Beckham and linebacker Devon Kennard are also out against Houston.
