Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis says A.J. Green has made "significant" progress in his recovery from a lingering toe injury, reports Coley Harvey of ESPN.

The wide receiver was sidelined during Sunday's 27-0 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, the second straight game he has missed. Green originally injured his toe in Week 1, but re-aggravated it during practice two weeks ago.

According to Ian Rapoport and Albert Breer of NFL Network, Green met with foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson last week and received a positive prognosis. There is no official word on his status for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Green, a three-time Pro Bowler, had 98 receptions and 1,426 receiving yards last season, both career highs. He currently has 17 receptions for 314 yards and two touchdowns in four games this season.
