Running back LeGarrette Blount is free to sign with any team after going unclaimed on waivers, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Steelersreleased Blount on Tuesday after he left the field prior to the conclusion of Monday's win over the Tennessee Titans.

Blount, who signed a two-year contract with Pittsburgh in the offseason, did not receive any carries in the game, while Le'Veon rushed for 204 yards on 33 carries.

Over 10 games this season, Blount has rushed for 266 yards and two touchdowns on 65 carries. He (and Bell) was charged with marijuana possession in August.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said that the decision to release Bell was ''in the best interest of the organization,'' according to the Associated Press.

Pittsburgh (7-4) is idle this weekend before hosting the New Orleans Saints on November 30.
