Former Washington Redskins linebacker London Fletcher said Sunday on CBS Sports that Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett is a "clueless" coach who doesn't know what he is doing.

Haslett coached Fletcher for four years in Washington. According to ESPN, since 2010, the Redskins are 27th in yards allowed and 30th in points per game.

This season, the Redskins are ranked 11th in total yards allowed and 27th in points per game allowed.

From a transcript by The Washington Post:

"Why does Haslett still have his job as a defensive coordinator after five years now of just ineptitude at the defensive coordinator position?" Fletcher asked on CBS Sports Network’s That Other Pregame Show. "He’s clueless as a defensive coordinator. He lacks attention to detail. He lacks feel on how to call a game.

"Some of the calls he used to call when I was playing were head-scratching. They were so bad, I used to change them, like, ‘We’re not running that.’ And we’d get off the field and he would ask, ‘Why did you change the call.’ (I would say), ‘Because that’s just a dumb call. That’s why I changed it.'"

Haslett is currently under contract for next season.

After the show, Haslett's son, Chase, tweeted about Fletcher's comments.

Entering Sunday, the Redskins are 3-9, and in last place in the NFC East.
