Vikings assistant general manager George Paton will reportedly stay in Minnesota and has turned down interview offers with the Chicago Bears and New York Jets.
Vikings assistant general manager George Paton will stay in Minnesota and has turned down interview offers with the Chicago Bears and New York Jets, according to NFL reporter Dan Pompei.
This season was Paton's eighth with the Vikings. Earlier in 2014, he turned down the opportunity to interview with the St. Louis Rams regarding their GM job.

The Jets fired GM John Idzik on Monday, while the Bears fired GM Phil Emery the same day.
Paton was one of seven known candidates for New York's GM job. The Jets are interviewing Seahawks pro personnel director Trent Kirchner this weekend, according to NJ.com.
