Roger Goodell booed by fans at NFL draft
Commissioner Roger Goodell was booed by fans in Chicago as he walked on the stage to begin the 2015 NFL draft.
Fans at the draft typically greet Goodell with jeers, but this was the first draft since Goodell came under fire for his handling of the Ray Rice case. Goodell was criticized for his decision to originally suspend Rice only two games after a domestic violence arrest, with many feeling the commissioner and the league did not try hard enough to obtain video of the incident.
On SI Now earlier this week, The MMQB's Peter King said the question wasn't whether Goodell would be booed but rather "at what decibel level."
The NFL draft began on Thursday night with the first round and runs through Saturday, May 2. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers hold the No. 1 pick, while the Tennessee Titans hold the No. 2 pick.
