Report: Cardinals offer RB Chris Johnson one-year deal
The Arizona Cardinals have offered running back Chris Johnson a one-year deal, according to ESPN's Dianna Marie Russini.
Johnson, 29, rushed for 663 yards and one touchdown with the New York Jets last season. Johnson played his first six seasons with the Tennessee Titans, including a 2,006-yard season in 2009.
The Cardinals running back corps already includes Andre Ellington, Stepfan Taylor and David Johnson. Chris Johnson is unsure if he wants to enter the Cardinals' crowded backfield, Russini reports.
Johnson was arrested on a misdemeanor gun charge in Orlando in January. In March, Johnson was shot in the shoulder in an incident that left one man dead and another wounded in Orlando. He was released from the hospital days later.
