Bears receivers Alshon Jeffery, Eddie Royal active for Week 1
Chicago Bears wide receivers Alshon Jeffery and Eddie Royal will be active for Week 1, reports Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.
Jeffery had been limited in practice early in the week after suffering from a calf injury, but head coach John Fox said that he looked functional.
Jeffery, who is listed as the No. 1 receiver on the Bears depth chart, has posted at least 1,000 yards receiving each of the last two years. He caught 85 passes for 1133 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2014.
Royal was limited in practice throughout the week while dealing with a hip injury, but like Jeffery, is ready to play.
Royal enters his first season in Chicago after spending the last three with the San Diego Chargers. Royal pulled in 62 receptions for 778 yards and 7 touchdowns last season.
