Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan complimented New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski in a news conference Monday ahead of their Week 2 matchup.

“He's a big, huge dude now ... he’s got great body control,” Ryan said. “He’s just a huge target. And he can run a lot better than I think people know.”

Ryan even went as far as discussing Gronkowski's acting skills.

“He’s huge. He’s a hell of an actor,” said Ryan.

Ryan and Gronkowski both starred in the “Madden: The Movie” trailer that premiered last month.

The trailer shows Gronkowski shooting footballs out of a cannon, and Ryan intently watching Dave Franco and Colin Kaepernick (as Al Pacino) play the Madden NFL video game.

Gronkowski has faced the Bills head coach eight times in his career, all while Ryan was with the New York Jets. He caught 39 passes for 461 yards and five touchdowns in those games against the Jets.

The Bills and Patriots will meet Sunday at 1 p.m. in Buffalo.
