Cincinnati Bengals defensive back Adam “Pacman” Jones has been fined $35,000 for Sunday’s incident with Oakland Raiders receiver Amari Cooper, according to Geoff Hobson of the team’s official website. Jones will appeal.

Jones ripped Cooper’s helmet off his head after driving him to the ground and pushed Cooper’s head against the helmet. He was given a 15-yard personal foul for unsportsmanlike conduct but was not ejected.

The NFL confirmed Monday that Jones would not be suspended for the incident.

Jones has played in every Bengals game since the start of the 2012 season. He started at cornerback in Sunday’s game and played on 77% of Cincinnati’s defensive snaps. In addition to his role on defense, Jones is also the Bengals’ primary punt return and also returns some kickoffs. He was named First-Team All-Pro as a return man last year.
