Report: Broncos RB C.J. Anderson will start Thursday vs. Chiefs
Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson is listed as questionable but will reportedly start Thursday night’s game against the Chiefs.
ESPN’s Cecil Lammey reports Anderson told him he will start against Kansas City. Anderson practiced Tuesday on a limited basis after he suffered ankle and toe injuries in the team’s Week 1 win over Baltimore. With the Broncos facing a quick turnaround in a shorter game week, there had been some concern about Anderson's status, but all signs indicate he will play.
Anderson started against the Ravens, but accumulated just 48 total yards on 16 touches against a stout Baltimore defensive front. He ceded carries to Ronnie Hillman down the stretch, who ran for 41 yards on 12 carries.
The Broncos take on the Chiefs Thursday at 8:25 PM ET in Kansas City.
