Reports: NFL investigating Bears for not changing injury report

The NFL is reportedly investigating the Chicago Bears for not properly submitting their injury report.

The NFL is investigating the Chicago Bears for not properly following the league’s injury report procedures, reports NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport. 

The Bears did not make it public on their final injury report Matt Forte and Pernell McPhee did not travel with the team for Sunday’s game against St. Louis. The Bears told the Rams about the changes to the injury report, but did not tell media or the public, a violation of NFL rules. 

NFL spokesman Michael Signora told Pro Football Talk and Rapoport the league would look into the matter. 

If the Bears are found to have violated the policy, they could be subject to a fine. Chicago defeated St. Louis 37–13 on Sunday.
