Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon, who is currently suspended by the NFL for the entire 2015 season for violating the substance abuse policy, was recently the subject of a video on PROATHLETE TV.

In it, Gordon reflected on the one-year ban, and said it served as a wake-up call for him.

“In a sense, I was kind of relieved,” Gordon said. “I was distraught and embarrassed, but I was like, man, I’ve been ripping and running too much, too fast. I needed to slow down. I’m glad that someone gave me a swift kick in the ass to let me know what’s real, and what’s not.”

The video details his trip to Art Basel in Miami, and his emerging interest in art. He debuted some new artwork as part of the three days there.

He said at a later date, when everyone was free, he’d want to gather fellow players Colin Kapernick, Johnny Manziel, Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry and take another trip to Miami.
