Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of his right ankle injury, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reported earlier in the morning that Williams is expected to try to play through what is considered a sprained ankle. ESPN's Britt McHenry reports that Williams is considered day-to-day.

During the second quarter of Sunday’s 28–12 win over the Cleveland Browns, Williams was carted off the field and did not return. After the game, he was seen greeting his teammates in a walking boot.

Fitzgerald Toussaint took over in the backfield and finished the game with 12 carries for 24 yards.
