Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis is scheduled to meet with Las Vegas Sands casino Sheldon Adelson on Friday to discuss relocating the team to Las Vegas, casino officials confirmed to the Associated Press.

The Raiders are in search of a new home after their bid to relocated to Los Angeles was passed over in favor of the Rams. The Raiders do not currently have a contract with any stadium for the 2016 season, but are working on a short–term extension to remain in the Coliseum.

Adelson and The Sands are seeking to build a stadium on the UNLV campus that would be shared between the college team and a professional team. The proposed 65,000-seat stadium is valued at $1 billion.

The Raiders were given the option to partner with the Los Angeles Rams in Inglewood if the Chargers failed to reach an agreement with the team, though reports say that deal could be finalized this week.

The Raiders have also been linked to stadium plans in San Antonio.
