Following Brandon McManus’s 34-yard field goal to put the Denver Broncos on the board in their opening drive of Super Bowl 50, Broncos linebacker Von Miller stripped Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton to force a fumble. Broncos defensive end Malik Jackson recovered the fumble and ran into the end zone for the first touchdown of Super Bowl 50. The score gave Denver a 10–0 lead in the first quarter.

Newton was named the league’s MVP on Saturday.
