The Houston Texans have re-signed quarterback Brandon Weeden, the team announced Friday.

NFL.com’s Rand Getlin reports the deal is worth $4 million for the next two seasons.

Weeden played in two games for the Texans last season after being claimed off waivers from the Cowboys on Nov. 19. In 34 career games, the 2012 Browns first-round selection has thrown for 6,462 yards, 31 touchdowns and 30 interceptions.

Weeden, 32, will back up new quarterback Brock Osweiler. Brian Hoyer is likely done with the team, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.
