Peyton Manning will not sue Al Jazeera America over the report released in December that linked him to HGH, reportsUSA Today’s Christine Brennan.

Washington Nationals first baseman Ryan Zimmerman and Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard, who were also implicated in the documentary, have already filed a defamation suit against the media outlet.

Though Manning has denied ever using HGH and called the report “a total fabrication,” Brennan reports Manning has decided not to sue Al Jazeera to avoid the expense and publicity that he and his wife, Ashley, would incur.

The documentary’s main source, former Guyer Institute intern Charlie Sly, has since recanted all claims he made in the film, which alleged Manning’s wife was receiving shipments of HGH intended for the quarterback.

Manning will reportedly be monitoring the outcome of the lawsuits filed by Zimmerman and Howard.
