Former NBA point guard Nate Robinson will try out for the Seattle Seahawks as a defensive back, according to Master Tesfatsion and Mark Maske of the Washington Post.

The Seahawks have offered Robinson his first NFL tryout after he expressed interest in testing out his talent on the football pitch. Robinson, 32, has local ties to Seattle as he was a two-sport athlete as a freshman at Washington in 2002, playing cornerback and point guard for the football and basketball teams.

In his lone season for the Huskies, Robinson made two interceptions and 34 tackles.
