Russell Wilson says he will play Sunday despite knee injury
Russell Wilson says he knee injury will to keep him out this week against the Jets.
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson told reporters Thursday that he has “no doubt” he will play in Sunday’s game against the Jets.
Wilson sprained the MCL in his left knee in Seattle’s Week 3 game against the 49ers.
Wilson was injured in the second half and came out for just one play. He was sidelined in favor of Trevone Boykin during the fourth quarter of the blowout win.
Wilson also sprained his ankle during the first game of the season. He was a full participant in practice Wednesday and Thursday.
Head coach Pete Carroll said Monday that he expected Wilson to be in the lineup on Sunday.
Wilson has started each of Seattle’s 67 games since being drafted in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft.
