As the college football season heats up, so too does the analysis and discussion of the prospects who will define the 2017 NFL draft in Philadelphia. Welcome to the On the Clock Podcast, a weekly look at the prospects of the 2017 draft and the NFL teams most in need of their services.

No team is officially eliminated from the playoff race until November, but it’s getting late early for the league’s last-place teams. On this week’s episode, we break down the biggest 2017 draft needs for each of the eight teams sitting at the bottom of the NFL division standings: the Dolphins, Jaguars, Browns, Chargers, Giants, Saints, Bears and 49ers. Who might find themselves in position for one of this year’s top two quarterbacks? Which last-place teams are the fewest players away from legit contention in the near future?
