The top 10 spots in the AP Top 25 remained largely unchanged when the new poll was released Sunday

The only notable change at the top of the poll was Michigan leapfrogging Clemson for the No 3. spot. Clemson, which eked out an overtime victory over NC State, dropped to No. 4, while the idle Wolverines slid up to No. 3. Michigan’s last game was a 78–0 drubbing of Rutgers last week.

Alabama and Ohio State retained the top two spots in the poll. Wisconsin’s overtime loss to the Buckeyes only caused the Badgers to fall from No. 8 to No. 10. Undefeated Nebraska (6–0) is at No. 8, giving the Big Ten four schools in the top 10.

On the strength of blowout win over Texas Tech, West Virginia jumped from No. 20 to No. 12.

North Carolina (No. 22) and LSU (No. 25) enter the Top 25 after being unranked last week.
