The Pittsburgh Steelers may be without quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for four to six weeks as opposed to the initial two to three weeks that were initially expected for his recovery from surgery on his torn meniscus, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

Roethlisberger underwent surgery on Monday to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee after he sustained the injury against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Week 7 Power Rankings: The list of true contenders is a very short one

The Steelers' upcoming schedule includes the New England Patriots in Week 7 before a bye week, the Baltimore Ravens, the Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Browns before a possible return by Roethlisberger.

Landry Jones has stepped in as the Steelers' quarterback after Roethlisberger exited the game with just 189 passing yards. Jones made just one pass attempt that was incomplete against the Dolphins.
