Bengals receiver A.J. Green carted off with hamstring injury
Bengalsn receiver A.J. Green left Sunday’s game against the Bills in the first quarter after appearing to injure his leg. He was eventually ruled out for the rest of the game.
Green suffered a tear in his hamstring that is “believed to be significant,” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.
Green was injured on the second play of the day, the first time he was targeted for a pass.
Green is far and away the Bengals’ top receiver. He has 66 catches for 964 yards in nine games this season. No other Cincinnati pass-catcher has more than 34 catches or 387 yards.

Green, the fourth pick in the 2011 draft, has only missed four games in his NFL career.
Brandon LaFell and Tyler Boyd are the Bengals’ other top receivers. Tight end Tyler Eifert is back on the field after missed the start of the season with an ankle injury.
