Here are the worst Week 1 plays from the 49ers players whose stock is down after their 24-20 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

THE ENTIRE DEFENSIVE LINE

10:42 Third Quarter. First and 18 at SF 39.

The 49ers have an incredibly disruptive defensive line, but their job wasn't to disrupt Kyler Murray on Sunday -- their job was to keep him in the pocket, and they failed. Here, Dee Ford rushes five yards past Murray and creates an lane for him to scramble for eight yards. No discipline.

13:55 Fourth Quarter. Second and 21 at AZ 30.

This time, Arik Armstead gets greedy and tries to sack Murray and lets him escape the Pocket. Another easy gain of eight, plus a 15-yard penalty for a late hit. All Armstead's fault.

5:16 Second Quarter. First and 10 at SF 14.

The rookie flashed some serious athleticism and had a few good plays, but here he jumps from one gap to another and creates a big lane for Murray to scramble up the middle. Gain of nine.

10:35 Fourth Quarter. Second and 8 at SF 22.

Rushes past Murray, as does Nick Bosa and K'Waun Williams, and gives up a 22-yard touchdown scramble. Too easy for Murray.

7:22 Fourth Quarter. Second and 9 at AZ 47.

Hyder again. This time he rushes 10 yards past Murray and never recovers. Murray scrambles for 15 and makes Kinlaw fall on face

Richard Sherman

8:38 Fourth Quarter. First and 10 at AZ 25.

Covering Christian Kirk, who fakes a post route before running a deep corner route toward the sideline. Sherman spins around like a top. His best days are far behind him.

K’Waun Williams.

5:27 Fourth Quarter. Third and 6 at 49ers 34.

Plays zone coverage while the rest of the defense plays man to man and leaves DeAndre Hopkins completely uncovered for a 33-yard gain. A game-losing mistake.

Kwon Alexander

7:05 First Quarter. First and 10 at SF 10.

Play action bootleg pass to running back Chase Edmonds. Alexander bites and reacts late and can’t chase down Edmonds. Touchdown. Six-point mistake.

10:21 Second Quarter. First and 10 at AZ 23.

Overruns a simple screen to Hopkins who gains 12 yards. Call this the Kwon Special.

9:49 Second Quarter. First and 10 at AZ 35.

Overruns Cardinals running back Kenyan, Drake who gains 11. Another Kwon Special.

13:15 Third Quarter. Third and 8 at AZ 39.

Lines up incorrectly. Thinks he's blitzing but has coverage responsibility in the flat. Is late to get out to the flat in Cover 3. Gives up 12-yard catch to DeAndre Hopkins. First down. Not a good game for Kwon.

Jordan Reed Blocker

15:00 Second Quarter. First and 10 at AZ 10.

The 49ers run behind Reed at the point of attack, but Reed completely whiffs on linebacker De'Vondre Campbell who tackles Jerick McKinnon after a gain of just three. Could have been touchdown had Reed actually blocked Campbell. This is where the 49ers will miss Kittle most against the Jets.
