Draft Rumors: Falcons 'Have an Interest' in Georgia DL Zion Logue
The Atlanta Falcons have long been scrutinized for turning away from University of Georgia players in the NFL Draft - but 2024 may be different.
According to Sportskeeda, the Falcons - along with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Jacksonville Jaguars - have "spent time with" Georgia defensive tackle Zion Logue and "have an interest" in adding his services.
Logue played in all 14 games for the Bulldogs this past season, drawing 10 starts while recording 17 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks.

Logue was impressive at his pro day workout and will likely be selected late Day 3, per Sportskeeda.
"Defensive tackle Zion Logue looked athletic in drills," Sportskeeda wrote. "Teams believe he was underused at Georgia and is a sixth- or seventh-round pick who comes with large upside."
Logue, a native of Lebanon, Tennessee, arrived in Athens in 2019 and played in 50 games over his five-year career. He saw action in 43 contests across the past three years.
For his career, the 6-5, 310-pound Logue recorded 52 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, three pass deflections and a forced fumble.
At February's NFL Combine, Logue ran a 5.14 40-yard dash paired with a 1.82 10-yard split. He had a 29" vertical jump, 9'1" broad jump and 4.92 20-yard shuttle.

"With one year as a full-time starter, Logue is still inexperienced despite staying for five years at Georgia. He has good size and length but average body composition.
He rarely reads early block movement and finds himself on the wrong side of move blocks a disappointingly high number of times, despite decent initial quickness.
Logue just doesn't have a go-to skill set that allows him to stand out." - NFL Draft analyst Lance Zierlein.
Since Terry Fontenot became Atlanta's general manager in January 2021, the Falcons have drafted two Georgia players - tight end John FitzPatrick and offensive guard Justin Shaffer, both on Day 3 in 2022.
It's possible Logue adds to that tally - and gives Atlanta a big-bodied presence on the interior of its defense.
