How to Watch NFC Conference Championship: Detroit Lions at SAn Francisco 49ers

Let’s take a look at the NFC Championship matchup between the Lions and 49ers.

The NFC Conference championship game was supposed to be the San Francisco 49ers vs. the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Conference Championship game. But no one told the Detroit Lions, the gritty engine that could, who rolled over roller over the Rams and the Bucs (the Bucs having beaten the Eagles) that.

The Lions, who hadn’t won a playoff game in 33 years before this season, have come alive and are now one win away from the Super Bowl. Led by Jared Goff, the Lions have had a complete franchise turnaround. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Sam LaPorta, among others, were huge in their 31-23 victory against the Buccaneers last week. Derrick Barnes and C.J. Gardner Johnson each added an interception.

The 49ers, who were the first seed in the NFC, narrowly beat the Packers 24-21. McCaffrey and Kittle carried the offense once Deebo Samuel went down in the first quarter with an injury. Dre Greenlaw grabbed two interceptions, including the one to seal the win late in the fourth quarter.

Will the 49ers be heading to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2019 season, or will the Lions reach the promised land for the first time?
