Jets Add Fourth Offensive Lineman to Practice Squad

Running back released while second-year guard returns to Gang Green in reserve role

The New York Jets made a third change to their Practice Squad this week.

On Friday, the team reunited with offensive guard Chris Glaser while parting ways with rookie running back Xazavian Valladay.

Glaser was on the Jets' 90-man roster for the duration of training camp before falling victim to final cuts. The second-year pro, who was initially signed as an undrafted free agent by the Kansas City Chiefs last year, spent part of the 2022 campaign as a Jets' PS player. He appeared in all four Jets' preseason games this past summer.

The 6-foot-4 Glaser is one of four offensive linemen currently stashed on the 16-man Practice Squad, joining tackles Adam Pankey and Cedric Ogbuehi along with guard Jason Poe.

Valladay, an undrafted free agent out of Arizona State, has been with three different organizations since the spring. He was initially signed by the Houston Texans, who eventually released the rookie on August 13. Two days later, he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers and proceeded to play in two preseason games. One of the Steelers' final cuts, Valladay inked a PS deal with the Green & White on August 30.

The Jets no longer have a running back on the Practice Squad but they carry four on their 53-man roster.

On Wednesday, Gang Green inked receiver Irvin Charles to the Practice Squad while dropping Tanzel Smart. One day later, the team swapped out rookie tackle Ryan Swoboda in favor of Ogbuehi.
