Podcast: Lions Embarking on Special January, Playoff Push

Will the Lions rebound from a tough break?

The Detroit Lions are now embarking on what may end up being one of the most special months in the history of the franchise.

After one of the toughest breaks occurred in Dallas that contributed to a road loss, Detroit will return home for the regular season finale and then Ford Field's first-ever home playoff game.

Former NFL quarterback Tom Brady expressed this week the team must handle this level of adversity appropriately, as sulking will not help make the matter any better.

“The only thing you can do if you’re the Lions, is try to control what you can control, which is what’s ahead of you,” Brady said on the latest episode of "Let's Go" on SiriusXM. “You play these games, and there’s been a lot of ‘em over the course of my life, a lot of things don’t go your way. A lot of things do go your way.

"And, if I was in that locker room, hopefully, that would bring us together to say, 'Alright guys, we got a tough break, didn’t go the way we wanted. Or what we thought we did, the referees didn’t see it the same way.' And, what are we gonna do about it? Are we gonna sulk and complain, or are we gonna deal with the reality of the situation and move forward and try to play our best football going into the final week of the year?”

The latest All Lions "Bang The Table" podcast examines what is at stake for the Lions this month, and recaps a slightly tense locker room session with upset linebackers.
