WATCH: Notre Dame OT Joe Alt Goes From Top Prospect to Reporter at NFL Combine

Notre Dame offensive tackle Joe Alt went from prospect to reporter on Saturday. He had an important food-related question to ask former Fighting Irish teammate Blake Fisher at the 2024 NFL Combine.

INDIANAPOLIS — If this football thing doesn't work out for Notre Dame offensive tackle Joe Alt, he might have a future in journalism. The top offensive line prospect in this year's draft class decided to try his hand as a reporter at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine.

After Alt finished up his media availability in Indianapolis on Saturday, he decided to walk over to Blake Fisher's podium and ask his former Notre Dame teammate a question.

It was an important question, too.

"Blake, gotta question for ya," Alt said, capturing the attention of Fisher. "Favorite DoorDash spot, post-practice?"

Fisher's answer to Alt's important question is in the video below.

It's always fun to see prospects taking a break from the serious nature of the NFL Combine and having some fun. It also helps that Alt and Fisher have so much familiarity with each other.

Alt is considered the top offensive line prospect in this year's draft class by most major outlets. In several mock drafts, he's projected to land with the Tennessee Titans at No. 7 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.

During his media availability, Alt confirmed that he had a formal meeting with the Titans. But, right now, he's not concerned with where he's selected in April.

"I don’t pay too much attention to that kind of stuff,” Alt said. “I like to keep my head down and just keep working each and every day. That’s stuff’s going to take care of itself when it comes to that time.”

  • XAVIER WORTHY BREAKS COMBINE RECORD: There's a new record-holder in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine. On Saturday, Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy broke the record set by Washington's John Ross III in 2017, posting a 4.21-second time. CLICK HERE
  • ALT AN OPTION FOR TITANS: Notre Dame tackle Joe Alt is 6-feet-8, 315 pounds, and the highest-rated offensive lineman in the 2024 NFL Draft. Come September, he also could be protecting the blind side of Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis. CLICK HERE
  • HOUSTON LINEMAN STATES HIS CASE: If the Tennessee Titans want the "best pass protector" in the 2024 NFL Draft class, Houston's Patrick Paul is making his case. The 6-foot-7, 315-pound tackle is projected as a second- or third-round pick, potentially giving the Titans more flexibility with their first-round selection. CLICK HERE
