Sunday at the NFL Scouting Combine: Titans Will be Very Interested in Offensive Line Workouts

Sunday might be the most important day of the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine for the Tennessee Titans. Offensive linemen will participate in workouts and the Titans should have eyes on Joe Alt, Olu Fashanu, Patrick Paul, and more.

INDIANAPOLIS — You could argue that Sunday is the most important day at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine for the Tennessee Titans. Offensive linemen will make the trip to Lucas Oil Stadium for workouts to close out this year's event.

It's no secret that the Titans are desperate for help along the offensive line, particularly at left tackle. There are a lot of talented offensive linemen in the class, meaning coach Brian Callahan and general manager Ran Carthon will be close attention to the on-field workouts on Sunday.

There are a few obvious names to watch during Sunday's workout, such as Notre Dame's Joe Alt and Penn State's Olu Fashanu. But there are a few guys flying under the radar, like Houston's Patrick Paul.

"I feel like I'm a great pass protector — the best pass protector in this draft," Paul said on Saturday during his media availability.

Paul will have another opportunity to prove he's as talented as anyone else in the class on Sunday.

Here are the offensive line prospects that we'll be studying in Sunday's workouts at the NFL Combine.

  • Joe Alt, Notre Dame
Heading into the NFL Combine, Alt is widely considered the most-polished offensive tackle in the class. Many projections have the Titans taking the Notre Dame product with the No. 7 pick in the draft.
  • Olu Fashanu, Penn State
If the Titans don't get Alt at No. 7, there's a good chance they'll zero in on Fashanu. The former Penn State offensive tackle has already drawn comparisons to Joe Thomas and would be another Day 1 starter.
  • Jordan Morgan, Arizona
When you watch Morgan on Sunday, think of Peter Skoronski. Morgan's probably not quite as skilled, but he's also a player is entering the NFL Draft as an offensive tackle and could end up being a guard. Morgan has been a prospect on the rise, so it'll be interesting to see if his stock continues to increase on Sunday.
  • Patrick Paul, Houston
Paul believes he's the best pass protector in this year's draft class. That's exactly what Tennessee needs after allowing 64 sacks last season. What makes Paul even more intriguing? He has a background in martial arts. He could post some impressive numbers at the NFL Combine.
  • Kiran Amegadjie, Yale
The offensive lineman out of Yale might be one of the more interesting prospects in the draft. Amegadjie didn't really begin playing football until his sophomore year of high school and missed his first season of college (2020) because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Yet he earned an invite to the combine. We can't wait to see what he does at Lucas Oil Stadium.

  • HOUSTON LINEMAN STATES HIS CASE: If the Tennessee Titans want the "best pass protector" in the 2024 NFL Draft class, Houston's Patrick Paul is making his case. The 6-foot-7, 315-pound tackle is projected as a second- or third-round pick, potentially giving the Titans more flexibility with their first-round selection. CLICK HERE
  • FASHANU-LEVIS REUNION? Olu Fashanu, one of the highest-ranked linemen in the 2024 NFL Draft, could be the Tennessee Titans' No. 1 pick. Fashanu said he and Titans quarterback Will Levis talked Friday about the possibility about playing together for the first time since Penn State. CLICK HERE
