Saturday at NFL Scouting Combine: Tennessee Titans' Targets Take Field for Workouts

The weekend workouts at the NFL Scouting Combine are a microcosm of the Tennessee Titans' most critical roster needs — wide receivers and offensive linemen.

INDIANAPOLIS — Tennessee Titans fans should have their eyes and ears open on Saturday. Wide receivers and offensive linemen, the Titans' most critical roster needs, are the featured attractions at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine.

The linemen are talking to reporters from 7:30 to 10 a.m. CT. Several draft boards have the Titans selecting a tackle — Joe Alt from Notre Dame, Penn State's Olu Fashanu, or Oregon State's Taliese Fuaga with the No. 7 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

AllTitans.com will be on-site with updates from the press conferences.

Starting at noon CT, wide receivers, quarterbacks, and running backs will be running the 40-yard dash among other physical workouts

Two of the top receivers, Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers, will not participate in workouts. But there will be plenty of receivers to watch, including Washington star Rome Odunze, the No. 8 overall prospect according to Pro Football Focus.

"Just for me, it was about being able to compete against generations before and generations to come and see where I stack up against all those people," Odunze said when asked why he chose to workout. "I feel like it is a one-time thing that you can do once in your life. I just want to do it to the fullest, and it is something I can excel at, so that is why I decided to do it."

He is one of several players we're looking forward to watching:

  • Rome Odunze, wide receiver, Washington
Odunze had 92 catches for 1,640 yards and 13 touchdowns last season and helped the Huskies get to the National Championship Game. He's a strong and speedy receiver with dependable hands. He also has an engaging personality that would fit in well in the locker room and with fans.
  • Malik Washington, wide receiver, Virginia
Washington had 110 receptions for 1,426 yards and nine touchdowns last season. He's a precise route runner and could be a steal for the Titans with the 38th pick. He had only six career drops compared to 230 receptions.
  • Tyrone Tracy Jr., running back, Purdue
NFL.com: "Tracy was a full-time running back for only one year but had exciting flashes all over his tape. He’s a bendy, rhythmic runner who sees and traverses the interior run lanes like he built the maze. He creates additional yardage with a blend of elusiveness, power and a willful desire to maximize each run, but he will need to curb his eagerness to bounce runs wide when it’s time to finish and move to the next snap."
  • Xavier Leggette, wide receiver, South Carolina
Bleacher Report: "Legette is an intriguing prospect with size, adequate speed, and ball skills. The concern is that Legette is not a dynamic mover, and he is still a work in progress when it comes to the finer parts of the position. Legette would be best in a play-action heavy system that enables his vertical ability and ball skills."
  • Ladd McConkey, wide receiver, Georgia
Pro Football Network: "Injuries prevented McConkey from producing steadily through the 2023 season, but his impact was still very clear when he was on the field. At the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., his crisp route-running ability made him one of the event’s stars. McConkey might be one of the most pro-translatable WR prospects in the entire 2024 NFL Draft class, and his profile is sure to win over NFL teams down the stretch."
