The final four of the inaugural UEFA Nations League has been set.

The final four of the inaugural UEFA Nations League has been set.

Host Portugal vs. Switzerland is slated to be played June 5 in Porto, while England vs. the Netherlands will take place June 6 in Guimarães.

The final will take place in Porto on June 9, with the third-place game also set for the same day in Guimarães.

Of the four teams in the finals, only Portugal's route was straightforward. The finals hosts cruised through their group, besting Italy and Poland despite Cristiano Ronaldo sitting out the the remainder of the 2018 slate following the World Cup.

England required a lift from Croatia in the World Cup finalists' penultimate match, vs. Spain, before Harry Kane's late heroics against Croatia helped England seal first in the group.

The Netherlands, a resurgent bunch under Ronald Koeman after missing Euro 2016 and the 2018 World Cup, scored twice late vs. Germany to pip World Cup champion France to first place in their group and a spot in the final four.

Switzerland, meanwhile, was second best to Belgium and trailed 2-0 in their group finale before scoring five unanswered to stun the third-place World Cup side and secure first in the group via tiebreaker.
