Two teams remain in the metro regional as on Friday evening, New York will battle New Jersey in the championship game. The winner will head to Williamsport to play in the Little League World Series while the loser will be sent home one step short of their ultimate dream. The two teams already met back in the first round when New York scored three runs in the top of the seventh to come away with a 6-3 win. It was a great game between the two teams and Friday night's game shouldn't be any different.

New Jersey dropped that first game but it has bounced back to win two straight elimination games against Rhode Island 3-2 and then Connecticut 3-1 on Wednesday. It did get Thursday off to get its pitching somewhat back in order, but it will need to play well to beat New York.
New York, on the other hand, hasn't been on the field since Monday when it beat Connecticut 7-5. It jumped out to a 7-1 lead but had to hold a furious last-inning rally to hold on for the win.
